Day One

It’s been a while in the making but Sellars Legal is now officially up and running.

When I first started thinking about heading out on my own I had many sleepless nights writing mental lists of all the things that needed to be done, and all of the reasons why this was a bad idea and would never work. Yet here I am.

I’ve worked with many people over the years, at law firms, at start-ups, at international businesses, and the one thing in common with all of them is how supportive they’ve been in this process. So I’m sitting at my desk this lunchtime with a client count of precisely NONE, but I’m full of optimism for what lies ahead.

The freedom to do the afternoon school run, or go for a long bike ride on a quiet day. The opportunities to work with people across a massive range of industries who share common obstacles that I know how to help with. The ability to indulge my deeply geeky interest in all things to do with intellectual property and technology.

I don’t know where this is going to take me, but I’m excited. I’m off to make a sandwich now, but stay tuned for the next post. Which will be about cheese, obviously.
